We are therefore pleased to offer this excellent 19th century work of art in superb condition. On a shaped circular foot, surmounted by an eagle finial on the fluted cover. The body is caved with bands of overlapping shells, the heads of classical military figures flanking a central carved cartouche with a crest of a crown above a rampant lion. The gold mounts decorated with geometric enamelwork in blue black and white. 15 3/4 inches (40cm) tall.
