This silver tea service was prsented to Col Gowen by Mrs Cleveland in greatful rememberence of his kindness of heart, in causing to be restored the grave of his beloved and only son Archibald clevland Esq of Tapeley park Devonshire. Cornet in the 17th Lancers who fell at the battle of Inkerman Crimea November 5th 1854 aged 21.
