An Important Louis XIV Style Carved Giltwood Centre Table with a Veined Carrara Marble Top. The inspiration for this large and impressive centre table is a Louis XIV table supplied for the Chateau de Bercy.

Christopher Payne in his book 'François Linke, 1855-1946, The Belle Époque of French Furniture', illustrates an identical Nineteenth Century centre table in situ at the Meyer Residence, at Grosvenor Square, London.
