The arms are those of John Duke Coleridge 1st Baron Coleridge (1820-1894), Lord Chief Justice of England 1880-94 and Baron of Ottery St Mary, Who on the 11th August 1846 married Jane Fortescue Seymour of Farringdon, Isle of White. The arms of Seymour are a quartering of an augmentation granted by Henry VIII on his marriage to Lady Jane Seymour and are representative of the Dukedom of Somerset.
